Autumn exhibition at the Castle Gallery Inverness

The Castle gallery in Inverness was one of the first galleries in Scotland to support my work, holding exhibitions of my glass. Denise and her team still do a great job showing local talent and artists further afield. I was therefore delighted to take part in this show about making waves, featuring the paintings of Vernon Jones and my own glass sculptures. I made 9 pieces in total for this show and feel rather pleased with the results, if my sore back rather disagrees.

What struck me the most as the show was set up, was how the colours Vernon and I used matched so well at times. Perhaps not a surprise if blues and greens but both of us use quite a broad palate of colours, which in a few examples were uncannily similar. Vernon insisted he had been channeling them to me!…perhaps so, you can decide for yourself as seen below.
